Dr Kent Hungerford
Specialist Podiatric Surgeon

Having grown up on the South Coast of New South Wales, Dr. Hungerford is excited to be back servicing the area and his local community.
Dr. Hungerford is a nationally registered specialist Podiatrist and Podiatric Surgeon through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He is a member of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and the Australian Podiatry Association. He graduated as a Podiatrist in 2014 after completing his Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice through La Trobe University in Bendigo, Victoria, before undertaking his Doctor of Clinical Podiatry (Podiatric Surgery) at The University of Western Australia.
Since then, Dr. Hungerford has spent time living, working and training both domestically and internationally. Within Australia, Dr. Hungerford has studied or worked across New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia as a surgeon and in his role on the audit commitee for the ACPS.
Internationally, Dr. Hungerford has advanced his knowledge by studying and working alongside Foot and Ankle surgeons in China and the USA allowing him to further develop as a specialist in the surgical treatment of the foot with a focus on minimally invasive, or keyhole, foot surgery.
While in the United States of America, Dr. Hungerford worked with multiple surgeons in theatre and in clinic. Dr. Hungerford has completed facilitated training at The Podiatry Institute located in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the world’s most acclaimed foot and ankle podiatric surgical training groups. During this same rotation he attended the Western Foot and Ankle Conference in Los Angeles.
This proactive approach to education and training allows Dr. Hungerford to continue to expand his knowledge on surgical procedures for the foot, biomechanics, high risk foot procedures such as those for patients with diabetes, radiology/ultrasound, chronic pain management and many more.

With a passion for education deeply rooted in his practice, Dr. Hungerford goes beyond the routine of surgical procedures, dedicating himself to ensuring that patients and colleagues are equipped with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions. His holistic approach emphasises not only the physical well-being of his patients but also their empowerment through understanding. This is reflected in his building of the My Health Education arm of his practice which encompasses Health Masters, a training platform to provide his colleagues and patients education.
